About Us | Lynton Sheepskin Shop
The Lynton Sheepskin Shop all began when Jack Geller a Sheepskin tailor from London along with his family, moved to pretty Hoe Cottage in the beautiful twin villages of Lynton & Lynmouth on Exmoor. It was in Hoe Cottage that Jack set up his first workroom where he made sheepskin slippers, gloves, hats and coats. The finished items were then sent to be sold at a Sheepskin Shop on London's Oxford street.
In 1957 new premises were found for the workroom above an empty shop on Queen street in Lynton, where Jack employed two machinists and The Lynton Sheepskin Shop was Born. The shop proved to be a great success with locals and visitors alike. So in 1961 we moved to a larger shop on Lee Road were we are still trading today. Sadly in 1984 Jack Geller passed away and the family business was passed down to his youngest daughter. The Lynton Sheepskin Shop is now run by Jacks Granddaughter.
Our quality remains the same today as it did in 1957. Due to the growing demand for natural materials we now need to outsource. Many of our products are made / designed in Britain.
